SysAdmin Weekly - 001 - What is Azure Local

This week’s episode of SysAdmin Weekly is about all things Azure Local! For those that don’t know Azure Local is a rebranded and enhanced Azure Stack HCI, which i’ve spent some time discussing on other podcasts over the last year or two. Both solutions serve to bring Hyper-V, Storage Spaces Direct, Windows Server Software Defined Networking, and Azure services into your data center via Azure Arc.
As mentioned in each episode thus far, Eric and I would like this show to be as interactive as possible. As such, we’re currently reviewing some options to make that happen. In the meantime you can reach us at [email protected].
Now, on to this week’s episode!

In this episode of the Sysadmin Weekly Podcast, hosts Andy Syrewicze and Eric Siron discuss Azure Local, a rebranding and enhancement of Azure Stack HCI. They explore the benefits, key use cases, and why SysAdmins should take a look at it. The conversation covers the features of Azure Local, including its integration with Azure Cloud management tools, virtualization capabilities, as well as potential applications in disconnected environments. The guys also emphasize the significance of communities and resources available for sysadmins getting started with Azure Local.
